Christmas Party on the 22nd of Dec

Dear Parent,

This is to inform you that  we are organizing a Christmas party and fun day
on Friday, the 22nd of December 2006.

Kindly take a note of the following:

1. To inculcate the spirit of sharing and caring, we request you to kindly send a gift worth Rs. 25 for their buddies by the 21st of December 2006, as these gifts will be interchanged and distributed amongst all.
2. A Christmas class party is organized after the celebration. The teacher would inform you what they need to carry for the party.
3. Children can come dressed up in the vibrant colours of Christmas.

Dear Parent,

This is with reference to the Parent Teacher Conference to be held on the 16th  of December 2006. Kindly come and sign at the helpdesk on your
arrival and be seated at the reception . The Faculty member would come and escort you at your given time.

Please be punctual, as the Section Educator would stick to her 10 minutes
schedule.

Individual timings would be sent to you by the section educator.

Please make it a point to be there for the conference as it is extremely
important .

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all the following children: Srishti, Jhanvi, Samar, Rohan, Sia, Pillar, Nuditt and Anshula. Today they stretched themselves and achieved a breakthrough in the Maths challenge in class. They clearly demonstrated apt addition skills and the initial understanding of the concept of Tens and units.

Shaina and Aaryan Dev Singh gave their best effort in the group and it was delightful to experience their levels of motivation and the willingness to learn.

The rest of the children will be encouraged in this challenge too.

Thanks to all the Parents – your working with your children at home clearly is getting reflected in the class. A joint endeavor is a most successful one and the above experience is a marvelous example of it.

A Gentle Reminder!

Dear Parent

This is with reference to the Christmas carnival scheduled for 23rd Dec 2006.

The main purpose behind holding the same is to imbibe values amongst our children wherein they learn the importance of caring and sharing . Children
are making beautiful art and craft things with their hands and these will be sold by the children on the Carnival Day , thus its extremely important that you must attend the carnival along with your friends and families to encourage the little ones and to make their effort a success.

The funds collected will be taken to the Mother Teresa Old Age Home in Chattarpur after the children come back from the winter break. Elementary children will be taken for this noble task, We are looking forward , for parents to come forward and help us by either assisting teachers as volunteers or incase they want to showcase their talent by putting up stalls …which can be cakes/ handicrafts/ fun activity etc etc…list is endless………..

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL ON THE 23RD OF DECEMBER' 06

Dear Parent,

The year is into its last month, quietly ebbing away, withdrawn, introspective. This is when we often look inwards and back, as well as think ahead of the year that will unfold. This is when we could ponder – have we, each one of us in our individual capacity, left the world a little happier than we found it last. Life gives us chances galore with the dawning of each new day and let us seizes them as parents and educators and determines to make the world brighter than it was the previous day.

The spirit of Christmas and New Year is full of cheer, contagious.

As old gives way to the new our thanks to all of your who have made Excelsior American School Gurgaon, attain great heights and a happy fruitful experience the year through. With you beside us, we shall begin the New Year, our faces turned to the sun.

In this season of benevolence let us not forget to train the young Excelsior students to spread the special brand of kindness and touch the lives of those less fortunate than us – may be giving away a cardigan to that scantily clad, scrawny, shivering figure wiping your car's windscreen at a traffic light, feeding the birds, passing on the leftovers of their lunch to a beggar………………………………………….The list goes on.

As part of the Christmas celebration and to inculcate in the young Excelsior students the true spirit of sharing and caring we are organizing a Christmas Carnival on the 23 rd of December' 06 where children will be putting up stalls of things they have made with their little hands.

The funds collected will be donated to Mother Teresa old age home at Chattarpur.

We are looking forward to your help in assisting children / class teachers and also incase you or your friend intend to put up a stall kindly come and meet the undersigned with regard to that.

To encourage the little ones you are invited along with your family and friends.

READING MOMS

Dear Moms,

Greetings!

We at Excelsior have always believed in involving parents at each step. We are starting with a 'Reading Moms' period for cultural and grade I. This is an endeavor to reach out to you to help us in giving our children that personalized warm touch which moms can give.

Please e-mail in case you are interested in bonding with us in this venture.

Kindly note-

1. This period will be held on 2 days Wednesday and Friday from 0200pm to 03pm.

2. You'll be required to assist small groups of 4 to 5 children in helping them to read.

I wish to thank you in advance for being a partner in instilling a love of reading and learning that will be a part of the child throughout his or her life.

YOGA SESSION

Dear Parent,

We are organizing a 'Yoga Session' exclusively for parents on Saturday, the 25th of Nov 2006 wherein our endeavor will be to apprise you of the
importance of Yoga for a healthy living.

Timings for the same will be from 0700 am to 0800am.

You are required to carry either a mat or a sheet for performing the Asanas and wear comfortable clothes. This invitation is also open to the
grandparents/ friends etc whom you would like to get.

Since we'll have to make appropriate arrangements it is requested that you Please confirm your presence either via email or telephonically.

LUNCH DAD OR LUNCH MOM

Dear Parents,

At Excelsior the main aim is to foster independence and social awareness .

Allowing the children to do for themselves by themselves affords them the opportunity of practice. Throughout the day we create opportunities for each child to interact with one another and to take care of their own individual needs. During class time and recess, the children go about their work, play, socializing, and self-care as independently as each is able.

These are important opportunities that fuel self-esteem and skills in socialization.

We often overlook another very important time in the child's day, whereby, these skills are practiced in depth – lunchtime!

Lunchtime is probably the most exciting opportunity in a child's day to explore his/her efforts in self-care and socialization. IT is a special time to connect with their peers in a way that is not supported on the playground or in a classroom. It is a time where each seeks out a special friend to sit next to and visit over lunch. Think how you feel when you lunch with a friend! Children feel the same excitement.
If on occasion, you would like to join your child's class for Lunch, arrangements can be made and you need to inform us and register yourself at
the help desk as we can only allow one parent at a time. So come forward and be a 'Lunch Mom' or 'Lunch Dad' This is only for classes Discoveri upwards .

Let the little Safarians grow so that you can be also a part of this.
